No Storm Photo’s But This While I Was Waiting

10 Shot Pano-1

Last Saturday (14th September) I left early to get a few storm shots, but as I waited I could see the finish of the clouds.
So I decided to give it one more hour and took a 10 shot pano.

I could have just sat down on these rocks and watch the Sun come up, it was one of those mornings were everything was just amazing, only thing missing was a few clouds.

Sunrise Of Woody Point Down On The Rocks

This was taken on Sunday 17th March.
I got there with about five minutes to spare. I took a couple of test shots of where I wanted to stand and quickly set up and I got this shot.
The first place I wanted to go was packed out with people, I forgot about the Sunday morning markets, and the set up before sunrise.
The only thing that was missing from this shot was clouds, I am a fan of clouds and there was not one to be seen anywhere.
On the horizon was a cool looking mist that did give it that little punch to the photograph

So Enjoy.

Under The Redcliffe Jetty Just After Sunrise

Enjoy, but go and enjoy

A Couple Of Shots From N.Y.E. 2012 At Bribie Island And Why We Don't Have Customer Service Anymore

We went to Bribie Island on New Years Eve 2012 in the afternoon. The family had a swim and a play in the sand on an out going tide.
I took along my camera, as always, and got a bunch of fun shot”s of the kids been kids.

Now yes I took along my pro camera with my pro lens and I know people sometimes look at me and think OMG another camera.
But these are not just snap shots, these are photographs of my family that will be with us forever, they are a time line of our family and our family history.

The Smart Phones with 8 Meg Camera”s have now become our photo”s in the wallet or hand bag. But they have also become an instant update of our world.

So if you are the one taking the picture”s, just shrug off the comments, if you are the one in front of the camera, enjoy the moments.

I do have people coming up to me from time to time asking questions about how to use there new camera they just purchased. The thing I find funny is that some camera shops will just sell the product and then “Please move on I must serve best online pokies the next customer”. (I will not name any but I have stood and seen this for my self)

And they wonder why people go to the internet to purchase a camera and not go into a store – No Customer Service -

15 years ago when you would purchase a camera, they took you through the steps on how the basics of it and how it worked.
Like many things now, its hand over your money and move on.
Try getting customer service in a Myers Store, I have done it twice, stood in the store for 30 minutes and not one person served me, I did see people just walk out with items and I swear they did not pay for them.
